For years, coffee enemas have been thought of as a popular-yet-strange alternative “cure” to, well, just about everything. But in January 2018, Gwyneth Paltrow published a report that renewed people’s interest in the technique; it was a “detox guide” recommending a device for undergoing the procedure at home. Sounds interesting, right? Which brings us to this: is it actually effective or safe to give yourself a coffee enema? Short answer: no. Read on below.
